For now, the game is planned to be released on Steam when it's completed. I will likely create an apk version of the game, which will be provided here on itch.io as a trial run to see if there's any interest in one. I'll likely put it on Google Play once there's a high enough demand for it 😊
most major IF platforms support mobile for a reason. (twine, choiceofgames, ink, even workarounds for renpy games thay dont native-support mobile). it'd be a nice chunk of the market you'd be catering to~
I am aware of that. It's a matter of cost and time on my part. I'm writing and coding the game entirely on my own and have a day job that takes up most of my time. It's a passion project for me, so getting it onto Steam alone is something that I consider a massive achievement 😊 It's why I'll only do a mobile version when it's feasible for me.
You've gotten a lot further in much less time than many others, without abandoning the project or putting it on hold, so I have no doubt that you will succeed in getting this onto Steam :)
But can I ask, do you intend to charge for the (whole) experience once its complete, or will it continue to be PWYW?

i was waiting for my classes so i decided to play this and I am currently at the point of meeting the grandmother and omg i have never fallen in love with a if or characters so quickly i love the complicated realthionship mc has with their parents (more so their father i almost cried when he died ) and i cant wait to learn more about salyra. also my gay ass is just smitten with both irus and oren (i dont know who i wanna romance ahhh) i cant wait to read more!! also i definitely wanna draw art of the characters (and crown the beloved horse🩵)

I can't help wiping tears while I was reading the vivid chapters of MC's childhood and the relationship between MC and the family,the heritage of Ishari, it reminds me of my past days in a broken family. And the romance,adventures and conspiracies make my heart beating. I do enjoy the romantic contents, All ROs are really charming and witty. My favourite is Queen Elora, I can't stop fallen in her passion and affection though I know she is cunning and unattainable, she is so lovely, the taste of forbidden love is just......classic.Thanks for your work, looking foward to new chapters.

I prefer to play shy characters and, MY GOOOOOD, the romance with the prince is just WOW, especially his teasing is a special kind of thing, every time it made me smile! :D And his treatment in the later scenes, uh-huh BELOVED AWW, it warms my heart so much, knowing what MC is going through, because she didn't have a normal relationship with others.
I am silent sadabout the relationship with MC's parents...at first, I was biased against her father, but after reading it, I began to understand that he really cared about his daughter. Maybe he just didn't know how to show his love in a different way? The scene of his death (even if it wasn't a spoiler) made me CRY SO MUCH, GOD..And I began to sympathize with him more than with the mother who abandoned the child in the manner in which everything happened later. Ugh, terrible!
Meeting MC's mother at first seemed unexpected to me, BUT WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT SHE HAD A FAMILY and she was just literally hiding MC (I remember this surprise of Anu!!)
I really turned against MC's mother. And this is her obsession with MC getting to know her husband and daughter..ugh, every time my character just quarreled or snapped at his mother, haha. The younger sister is really not to blame for the actions of adults, but, ah, I can't feel sympathy for her when her own mother belittles the MC, and her husband does not understand at all what effect the mother's actions had on the MC
And I really like that mother does not approve of the relationship with Irus, damn, like do I care about her opinions?? NO lol
This work has caused me so many emotions that I cannot describe in words!! Joy and love, awe and anger, resentment and sadness, aah, and many others!! Thanks again for this piece!! I will look forward to next chapters!! <З

There's a lot of angst and anger involved with the MC's parents, and if you think Salyra has explained everything to the MC, think again. She's still got some secrets that will be spilt soon 😉
The plan is to have the demo on Itch and then the full game will only be available on Steam, so yes, once the rough draft of the full game is complete, I'll start working on a Steam page for the game with a revamped demo and hopefully will have the game ready for release not too soon after that.

I don't. I think MC has quite an interesting role, while I dislike the ROs. But that doesn't mean I think they are written poorly, rather that they are written well as unlikable characters.

Notice how they all treat MC poorly when they first meet them: Irus looks down on MC because of their social status and clothes, Oren threatens MC if they don't take responsibility for a fight initiated by his lackey, Elora threatens MC for not bowing to her (much like her mother later on), and Anu is just a racist little b**** who assaults you as soon as her father's back is turned.

But the author takes all that into account by allowing MC to hold grudges and not be friendly towards them, much less romance them. Now that is good writing - and something IFs like A Tale of Crowns and Crown of Ashes and Flames could learn a lot from!

I am a huge fan of shy MCs and flirty ROs, so the dynamic between a shy MC and Irus is my guilty pleasure. I'm happy that so many players are enjoying it too, especially players who don't usually play as shy characters!
Give Oren some time and I promise you that he'll be less dense in later chapters 😋 He is quite a flustered mess himself, and flirting with him can lead to him combusting on the spot 😆
There's a lot of drama surrounding Salyra and Danzor, plus there's Rana for an extra layer of angst. It's probably not going to get better, but I can't say that it will get worse. It'll just be the usual sad, frustrating and angst-inducing scenes you've experienced going forward 😅

im normally not the person to write a comment to praise a game (i always have the feeling that i only repeat what others already said) but for your game i have to say some words.
your writingstyle is really immersive. i myself could really feel the emotions of the characters.
my favourite scene (besides the big plot twist after the rescue of the ishari prisoners...) was the good bye between MC and queen elora (after i decided to romance her). i really was heartbroken. you can imagine my surprise and joy when she arrives wth her boat.
now some questions and suggestions i have.
?- basic question, i know, but how many chapters are you planning to have?
?- 1) example queen elora: you often have 2 romance options; a shy response and a more direct response. will the relationship develop different depending how often you chose the shy/more direct responses? or are these more for flavour? 2) does one romance response "progress" the relationship faster?
?- MC unlock divinity: how many percent of the ishari religion do i need? currently i had balanced religion stats (each religion at 60%) and got rjected/injured. for the future: will there be a way to still unlock it even when A) you get rejected or B) if you have balanced stats?
!- while the stats wont be that important, maybe they can influence the story by using different adjectives or adding 1/2 unique sentences. e.g. "with your last breath you overwhelm the enemy" (low might) VS "you defeat the enemy and kill them with a clean strike" (high might). in this case the stats arent that important (you still reach the same outcome) but a high percentage in the right stat is still rewarding.
!- maybe you can include a static (=> no change like clothing or jewels,.....) character art of the MC in similiar style of the ones on this page. either always visible beside the story or "hidden" in the bio.
- because of personal reasons i am not able to use patreon. i still looked at it and saw some mention about side stories. are you planning to release them in the future? maybe as DLCs or supporter packs on steam?

To answer your questions:
There will be 12 chapters and an epilogue. The public demo will contain the prologue and the first 8 chapters and the rest of the chapters will be available to my Patrons.
Both shy and flirty options are there for player's preferences - you don't get bonus scenes and the romance progresses at the same pace regardless of how you choose to flirt /romance the ROs. Likewise, you are not constricted to be only flirty or only shy - feel free to choose the options that feel natural to you in each scene.
You need 65% belief in the Ancient Ones, Solus or both to unlock your divinity.
There is currently some flavour text to this effect - you probably won't see it in a single playthrough though since it's hardwired to relate to certain stats. I really suck at stats in general so I'm planning on editing and revising scenes once the first draft is complete so the stats will feature more flavour texts.
Yes, the side stories will be available as a DLC - I'll separate them based on ROs, general stories and NSFW stories and then do a bundle containing all stories at a fixed price so you'll be able to choose what stories you want.
Oh my god this was spectacular. I cannot wait until the next chapter comes out if at all, but I literally can't come up with words to explain how much I love this. All the options for the characters, all of the characters in general, the world building, the MC, all of it is written so beautifully. Chapter 8 will feature some sexy times with Elora and Irus 😆 Irus is the fastest romance in the game, so his NSFW scenes happened a lot sooner than the other ROs. Elora will be getting her fair share of romance and alone time with the MC in the full release and rest assured, her fun times will be open to any gender 😊
Currently the game stands at a little over 400K words, so I don't know how long it'll be by the time it's ready for release 😅 I still have to do edits - which includes adding scenes so there's a huge chance the word count will go up once the first draft is complete. I estimate very roughly that it should come to 600-800K words but I can't make any promises on the final length.

She's slightly older than Ahlf and if Ahlf was alive, he'd be in his early 50s. Lena acted a lot like a mentor to Ahlf so she'd see the MC as a niece/nephew figure 😊

Jesus Christ, this game 😭 this is my first time even knowing about this so I literally spent so much time going through all the chapters thus far but it's so worth it. I love the romance options but every time I get a choice between all of them, I keep going for Prince Irus with a shy MC until I eventually gave up and locked in haha. He's just so damn loveable! Also [SPOILERS] I went down the route of being mad at father for being stuck with him, not even caring when he died, and loving the mother as a child. But knowing about the mom later on, I was kind of looking for choices that would be more vocal about really regretting how I treated the father as a child. There may have been choices or scenes alluding to that. If there were, sorry I might have just missed it from crying so much from the "angry at mom" scenes. I also hoped, and there may be more of this in later chapters, but just a scene wherein we could decompress more to an RO about how we specifically feel towards the mom. I know there's a scene like that but I feel like we could've opened up more in there because MC really needs to let it out. Again, if there was an option that could've resulted in that and I missed it, I'm sorry 😭 I've only played through this once so I haven't tried different paths but I wanted to comment anyway because this is such an amazing IF ❤ Thank you for creating this game! I have no words for this game it's just just amazing and the most perfect game i've played so far and you can actually feel for the mc even if you've never experienced child neglect before because the story is so beautifully written and the characters development is just amazing (my mc is actually romancing prince Irus in my playthrough and he's just been the sweetest lover ever especially their kiss and it's even better if it's the mc's first kiss it's just adorable) so thank you for making such an amazing game for free, however there is a question that has been bugging me lately which is the age of the mc ( from her first meeting with prince Irus to chapter 7 ?) i also was curious about the age of the RO's as well ?

What I like the most (beside this fantastic storyline) is that the love interests are not magically already in love with MC even thought we just meet like in other games, that's actually a thing that piss me off. I MADE AN ACCOUNT JUST TO WRITE THIS. Now I DON'T KNOW WHAT CRACK YOU PUT IN THE STORY BUT I WANT YOUR WHOLE STOCK. I'll be real honest. I've been avoiding this story for a bit; I can't even tell you why. Im half regretful and half happy I waited this long just so I could binge to chapter seven. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MC AND THEIR MOTHER had me screaming. I was literally arguing with her out loud like the game could hear me. You really did so well in making her infuriating and pitiful. There were certain moments I found myself wanting to reunite just for her to do some stupid shit and make me go right back to hating her. [SPOILERS] When she literally offered to meet her new family I was about to bite a chair out of anger. I just found it absolutely egregiously absurd you would even do that. SHE HAD SO MANY OPTIONS TO MEET MC, Im not taking any of her excuses except for the intercepted letters. And to think she made a new family, I truly feel in my heart she had no intention of getting me, she had her new life and she was all happy. She clearly never intended to look for MC if you had a whole kid and husband at home. I think genuinely thats what made me angrier. It also didn't help when I decided to talk to Rana ONLY, that Danzor had the nerve to speak up, saying stuff like "You shouldn't talk to your mother like that, can't you see she's trying." OOOHHHHH he was getting me mad. THIS IS NOT YOUR BUSINESS SIR MIND YOUR BUSINESS I DIDNT EVEN WANT TO TALK TO YOUR ASS SMH. I was veryyyyy bitter, Ive never had such a visceral reaction come out in a choose your own adventure novel. The way I saw the situation; it was a happily ever after for Salyra. She got married to her childhood crush, had a baby out of love, and is a well respected priestess on the island she was raised. She had no intention of raising MC like that and that's what's worse. Seeing Rana get absolutely coddled by both Danzor and Salyra had me absolutely furious. Every time they mentioned she was a blessing I just got more salty. THE MC WASN'T EVEN MADE BECAUSE SALYRA WANTED TO LOVE HER CHILD SHE DID IT SO IT COULD BE A SYMBOL, AN ENTITY NOT A PERSON. I will not forgive her and I will take every opportunity to spite her from now on. Elora was the absolute cutest, I loved romancing her but I also loved being her friend, Every character was great and I loved it. Thank you so much for writing this fantastic story. I can not wait for future updates and cant wait until its completed so I can officially buy the game. (Im hoping that the AI art gets replaced with something with a bit more pizzaz) ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU IM GOING TO BE THINKING ABOUT THIS PLOT ALL WEEK.

Salyra is definitely a character you either love or hate 😬 She's never going to improve, but she will try her best to be better in later chapters. Whether that will be enough for you as a player will be up to you.

The art for the characters was made very early on in the game's development. I'm probably not going to include character portraits in the full game because I want players to imagine the characters their own way and a part of me wants to keep the game strictly text based 😅
I have no idea how many times I've replayed this. When I learnt of the newest chapter release, I was really excited!!!!! For some reason, all my saves were gone but that's ok, at least i could get a lil reminder of everything that's happened. I find it funny how every playthrough, I always find myself romancing Irus as a shy MC AKSJDJDH I SIMPLY CANT HELP MYSELF AHHH

First playthrough during [SPOILER] Salyra's surprise comeback, I chose the more betrayed and jealous route, but now I went with more lax approach and accepted bc I felt bad for my MC and thought they deserved to have a mom, but then the new chapter came out and oop- she hid more things that I could've imagined and my MC is just really put through the wringer here 💀💀

I'm surprised Salyra didn't put up much of a fight at the end of the chapter 7 into letting us go to the southern territory, makes me wonder if she has a plan....if she tries anything.....
She really makes me so angry despite me trying my best to stay calm and accepting damn, u wrote her really well! And other characters, as u can tell, Irus has my heart, tho maybe I should try another route hmm.....

One of my favourite dynamics is a shy MC and Irus, so I'm super happy you enjoyed it too.
Salyra is definitely a character that will make you feel a lot. She's certainly not perfect and will always make you feel some sort of upset after learning her secrets 😅 As for why she didn't protest much, her main goal in life is to stop the war and if the MC is going to help achieve that by leaving with the gang, she's not going to stop that.

One of my favorite IFs I've ever played. I love the amount of detail put in, especially with the potential responses and feelings when MC interacts with [SPOILER if you just started] mother. The suspense of some of the nightmares are well written too. I also appreciate the hair options :)
I've been putting all my faith (and pining) in Prince Irus simply because I really enjoy how he's written and the journey he and MC go through from the start.
Not sure if it's been reported or even if it's a bug, but if you pick "...you do not worship any deity and you never will." you get the same result as "...you believe in the Ancient Ones, but your belief also extends to the worship of Solus."

this story is a masterpiece honestly !! the family angst is so amazingly written and has me crying for my mc throughout the whole story lol. thank god for irus tho tbh, i usually do more flirty mcs but a shy mc with him is actually peak !! i love not having to put up with salyra specifically, cant count the amount of times i wanted to scream for my mc.

One of my favourite interactive fiction <3 The ROs are so easy to like, the story is well crafted, the family drama and angst is so compelling and the romance is honestly so cute - the dynamics between Irus and shy!MC have me in a chokehold !!!
I love how you have the option to be resentful, petty and honestly even kind of "weak" at times but it's never portrayed as a bad thing, just as an MC who will rely on others and not be shamed for it - which is not something I see often in IF. I really appreciate how we're not always forced to forgive or even put up with some people (looking at you Salyra) and we're not even forced to believe in the divines. It's such a breath of fresh air to have so much agency in what our MC can choose as their morals and beliefs without constantly being guilt tripped for our choices. And no doubt that takes extra work for the author but she does a wonderful job and it's really inspiring ~

I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the relationships and family drama. I enjoy writing them a lot so it's nice to know that players are finding it just as enjoyable to read and play through.
An important thing for me in IF is player agency especially when it comes to moral beliefs, religious beliefs and the dynamics with parental figures because too often, I've been pushed into having happy family dynamics or being punished for being angry or reacting a specific way which doesn't follow my supposed personality stats 😅 the game doesn't track your personality, so you'll always be free to respond how you want to and you'll only be 'punished' for the choices you make that affects major plot points. I use punished here in a very informal way because you're not going to die or be blamed if things go wrong based on a decision you made.
I honestly think it's more work to write in personality stats and punishing players for taking certain choices 😂 The way I've done it, only certain choices will affect the overall plot but anything in-between is there for character development and player enjoyment.

(Also, I don't want to be rude but the AI art used to depict the characters kinda takes me out of the experience. It's just very generic, for lack of a better term. The actual descriptions of the characters feel fresh and alive, and yet the art depicting them doesn't represent this at all. I suppose that's one of the flaws of AI art. Oh well.)

As this is a very early draft of a wip, I'm not really focussed on using commissioned art for the character portraits as they cost money and the game is a labour of love - so it generates very little cash flow to necessitate commissioning an artist at this point. They're placeholders until I complete the final draft and edits.
I didn’t think I’d like this game at first, but wow. You absolutely changed my mind. I’m having an enjoyable time playing this (although I’m not finished yet, I just had to pause and comment). The storyline is solid and I feel like I could become real friends with the characters.
I did noticed some typos, however. I’ll go in greater detail about them if you’d like but I don’t want to make this comment too complicated. Overall, great game!!

I chose to forgive my character's mother, but I really do appreciate that we're given a choice in the matter. That's very cool. Also I love the lore and atmosphere of this game, I'm shocked that you got it out as quickly as you did. You're not secretly a time-bending wizard are you? lol
I'm gonna do a second playthrough with higher spirituality with the Ancient Ones so I can see how that effects my divine powers. Probably. I would like to know if my Spirituality has consequences tied to it, please. My character is an atheist so I hope that doesn't ruin my chances of getting a good ending.

I'm no time bending wizard, but I do like writing a lot at once and I code as I write so it saves a lot of time when I get down to the chapters. It's worked so far for me so I'm in no rush to change my methods now.
You don't get punished for being a non-believer. The only thing you'll get locked out of is awakening the divine blessings, but you won't be locked out of good game ends. That said, I'm more of a narrative than stat-focussed person so stats are there but it's more your choices that matter rather than how high your stat is. You won't die in this game 😋

For now, the game is planned to be released on Steam when it's completed. I will likely create an apk version of the game, which will be provided here on itch.io as a trial run to see if there's any interest in one. I'll likely put it on Google Play once there's a high enough demand for it 😊
most major IF platforms support mobile for a reason. (twine, choiceofgames, ink, even workarounds for renpy games thay dont native-support mobile). it'd be a nice chunk of the market you'd be catering to~
I am aware of that. It's a matter of cost and time on my part. I'm writing and coding the game entirely on my own and have a day job that takes up most of my time. It's a passion project for me, so getting it onto Steam alone is something that I consider a massive achievement 😊 It's why I'll only do a mobile version when it's feasible for me.
You've gotten a lot further in much less time than many others, without abandoning the project or putting it on hold, so I have no doubt that you will succeed in getting this onto Steam :)
But can I ask, do you intend to charge for the (whole) experience once its complete, or will it continue to be PWYW?

i was waiting for my classes so i decided to play this and I am currently at the point of meeting the grandmother and omg i have never fallen in love with a if or characters so quickly i love the complicated realthionship mc has with their parents (more so their father i almost cried when he died ) and i cant wait to learn more about salyra. also my gay ass is just smitten with both irus and oren (i dont know who i wanna romance ahhh) i cant wait to read more!! also i definitely wanna draw art of the characters (and crown the beloved horse🩵)

I can't help wiping tears while I was reading the vivid chapters of MC's childhood and the relationship between MC and the family,the heritage of Ishari, it reminds me of my past days in a broken family. And the romance,adventures and conspiracies make my heart beating. I do enjoy the romantic contents, All ROs are really charming and witty. My favourite is Queen Elora, I can't stop fallen in her passion and affection though I know she is cunning and unattainable, she is so lovely, the taste of forbidden love is just......classic.Thanks for your work, looking foward to new chapters.

Ugh, terrible!Meeting MC's mother at first seemed unexpected to me, BUT WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT SHE HAD A FAMILY and she was just literally hiding MC (I remember this surprise of Anu!!)
I really turned against MC's mother. And this is her obsession with MC getting to know her husband and daughter..ugh, every time my character just quarreled or snapped at his mother, haha. The younger sister is really not to blame for the actions of adults, but, ah, I can't feel sympathy for her when her own mother belittles the MC, and her husband does not understand at all what effect the mother's actions had on the MC
And I really like that mother does not approve of the relationship with Irus, damn, like do I care about her opinions?? NO lol
This work has caused me so many emotions that I cannot describe in words!! Joy and love, awe and anger, resentment and sadness, aah, and many others!! Thanks again for this piece!! I will look forward to next chapters!! <З

There's a lot of angst and anger involved with the MC's parents, and if you think Salyra has explained everything to the MC, think again. She's still got some secrets that will be spilt soon 😉
The plan is to have the demo on Itch and then the full game will only be available on Steam, so yes, once the rough draft of the full game is complete, I'll start working on a Steam page for the game with a revamped demo and hopefully will have the game ready for release not too soon after that.

Someone recommended it to me, but the description of the game isn't very... exciting? I mean, MC is a nobody and has to babysit and support some prince's ambitions? All ROs seem to have more interesting roles than MC.

They have contributed their opinion, as is their right, as is everyone's right, whether you agree with it or not.
I don't. I think MC has quite an interesting role, while I dislike the ROs. But that doesn't mean I think they are written poorly, rather that they are written well as unlikable characters.

Notice how they all treat MC poorly when they first meet them: Irus looks down on MC because of their social status and clothes, Oren threatens MC if they don't take responsibility for a fight initiated by his lackey, Elora threatens MC for not bowing to her (much like her mother later on), and Anu is just a racist little b**** who assaults you as soon as her father's back is turned.

But the author takes all that into account by allowing MC to hold grudges and not be friendly towards them, much less romance them. Now that is good writing - and something IFs like A Tale of Crowns and Crown of Ashes and Flames could learn a lot from!

I am a huge fan of shy MCs and flirty ROs, so the dynamic between a shy MC and Irus is my guilty pleasure. I'm happy that so many players are enjoying it too, especially players who don't usually play as shy characters!
Give Oren some time and I promise you that he'll be less dense in later chapters 😋 He is quite a flustered mess himself, and flirting with him can lead to him combusting on the spot 😆
There's a lot of drama surrounding Salyra and Danzor, plus there's Rana for an extra layer of angst. It's probably not going to get better, but I can't say that it will get worse. It'll just be the usual sad, frustrating and angst-inducing scenes you've experienced going forward 😅

im normally not the person to write a comment to praise a game (i always have the feeling that i only repeat what others already said) but for your game i have to say some words.
your writingstyle is really immersive. i myself could really feel the emotions of the characters.
my favourite scene (besides the big plot twist after the rescue of the ishari prisoners...) was the good bye between MC and queen elora (after i decided to romance her). i really was heartbroken. you can imagine my surprise and joy when she arrives wth her boat.
now some questions and suggestions i have.
?- basic question, i know, but how many chapters are you planning to have??- 1) example queen elora: you often have 2 romance options; a shy response and a more direct response. will the relationship develop different depending how often you chose the shy/more direct responses? or are these more for flavour? 2) does one romance response "progress" the relationship faster?
?- MC unlock divinity: how many percent of the ishari religion do i need? currently i had balanced religion stats (each religion at 60%) and got rjected/injured. for the future: will there be a way to still unlock it even when A) you get rejected or B) if you have balanced stats?
!- while the stats wont be that important, maybe they can influence the story by using different adjectives or adding 1/2 unique sentences. e.g. "with your last breath you overwhelm the enemy" (low might) VS "you defeat the enemy and kill them with a clean strike" (high might). in this case the stats arent that important (you still reach the same outcome) but a high percentage in the right stat is still rewarding.
!- maybe you can include a static (=> no change like clothing or jewels,.....) character art of the MC in similiar style of the ones on this page. either always visible beside the story or "hidden" in the bio.- because of personal reasons i am not able to use patreon. i still looked at it and saw some mention about side stories. are you planning to release them in the future? maybe as DLCs or supporter packs on steam?

Chapter 8 will feature some sexy times with Elora and Irus 😆 Irus is the fastest romance in the game, so his NSFW scenes happened a lot sooner than the other ROs. Elora will be getting her fair share of romance and alone time with the MC in the full release and rest assured, her fun times will be open to any gender 😊
Currently the game stands at a little over 400K words, so I don't know how long it'll be by the time it's ready for release 😅 I still have to do edits - which includes adding scenes so there's a huge chance the word count will go up once the first draft is complete. I estimate very roughly that it should come to 600-800K words but I can't make any promises on the final length.

I finally finished the demo ! And oh god... I am struggling between hate and love toward our mother ! Like, she replaced us ! Why !! ;^;
Jesus Christ, this game 😭 this is my first time even knowing about this so I literally spent so much time going through all the chapters thus far but it's so worth it. I love the romance options but every time I get a choice between all of them, I keep going for Prince Irus with a shy MC until I eventually gave up and locked in haha. He's just so damn loveable! Also [SPOILERS] I went down the route of being mad at father for being stuck with him, not even caring when he died, and loving the mother as a child. But knowing about the mom later on, I was kind of looking for choices that would be more vocal about really regretting how I treated the father as a child. There may have been choices or scenes alluding to that. If there were, sorry I might have just missed it from crying so much from the "angry at mom" scenes. I also hoped, and there may be more of this in later chapters, but just a scene wherein we could decompress more to an RO about how we specifically feel towards the mom. I know there's a scene like that but I feel like we could've opened up more in there because MC really needs to let it out. Again, if there was an option that could've resulted in that and I missed it, I'm sorry 😭 I've only played through this once so I haven't tried different paths but I wanted to comment anyway because this is such an amazing IF ❤ Thank you for creating this game! We can all see how much you've put into creating this, keep it up!

I have no words for this game it's just just amazing and the most perfect game i've played so far and you can actually feel for the mc even if you've never experienced child neglect before because the story is so beautifully written and the characters development is just amazing (my mc is actually romancing prince Irus in my playthrough and he's just been the sweetest lover ever especially their kiss and it's even better if it's the mc's first kiss it's just adorable) so thank you for making such an amazing game for free, however there is a question that has been bugging me lately which is the age of the mc ( from her first meeting with prince Irus to chapter 7 ?) i also was curious about the age of the RO's as well ?

THIS GAME IS PERFECT AND LOVE IT! but seriously i downloaded this game just to kill some time originally but this game made me really feel like the mc did, this game is one of the best games i have played in a while with a story rivaling the likes of red dead redemption 2 or the half life series. Okay so, I'm not really the type to write comments and all but DAMN, this game is so good. Like everyday I come on this site just to see if it's upload yet and I'm always mad when it's not. Like I have to restrain myself sometimes and I think I won't come in here anymore for a loooong time just to let you the time to upload multiples chapters. What I like the most (beside this fantastic storyline) is that the love interests are not magically already in love with MC even thought we just meet like in other games, that's actually a thing that piss me off. English isn't even my first language, but here I am EATING UP your story because it's so well written and so intersting. Anyways, see you in a couple of months and I reaaaally hope that there will be multiples chapters when I come back.

I MADE AN ACCOUNT JUST TO WRITE THIS. Now I DON'T KNOW WHAT CRACK YOU PUT IN THE STORY BUT I WANT YOUR WHOLE STOCK. I'll be real honest. I've been avoiding this story for a bit; I can't even tell you why. Im half regretful and half happy I waited this long just so I could binge to chapter seven. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MC AND THEIR MOTHER had me screaming. I was literally arguing with her out loud like the game could hear me. You really did so well in making her infuriating and pitiful. There were certain moments I found myself wanting to reunite just for her to do some stupid shit and make me go right back to hating her. [SPOILERS] When she literally offered to meet her new family I was about to bite a chair out of anger. I just found it absolutely egregiously absurd you would even do that. SHE HAD SO MANY OPTIONS TO MEET MC, Im not taking any of her excuses except for the intercepted letters. And to think she made a new family, I truly feel in my heart she had no intention of getting me, she had her new life and she was all happy. She clearly never intended to look for MC if you had a whole kid and husband at home. I think genuinely thats what made me angrier. It also didn't help when I decided to talk to Rana ONLY, that Danzor had the nerve to speak up, saying stuff like "You shouldn't talk to your mother like that, can't you see she's trying." OOOHHHHH he was getting me mad. THIS IS NOT YOUR BUSINESS SIR MIND YOUR BUSINESS I DIDNT EVEN WANT TO TALK TO YOUR ASS SMH. I was veryyyyy bitter, Ive never had such a visceral reaction come out in a choose your own adventure novel. The way I saw the situation; it was a happily ever after for Salyra. She got married to her childhood crush, had a baby out of love, and is a well respected priestess on the island she was raised. She had no intention of raising MC like that and that's what's worse. Seeing Rana get absolutely coddled by both Danzor and Salyra had me absolutely furious. Every time they mentioned she was a blessing I just got more salty. THE MC WASN'T EVEN MADE BECAUSE SALYRA WANTED TO LOVE HER CHILD SHE DID IT SO IT COULD BE A SYMBOL, AN ENTITY NOT A PERSON. I will not forgive her and I will take every opportunity to spite her from now on. Elora was the absolute cutest, I loved romancing her but I also loved being her friend, Every character was great and I loved it. Thank you so much for writing this fantastic story. I can not wait for future updates and cant wait until its completed so I can officially buy the game. (Im hoping that the AI art gets replaced with something with a bit more pizzaz) ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU IM GOING TO BE THINKING ABOUT THIS PLOT ALL WEEK.

Salyra is definitely a character you either love or hate 😬 She's never going to improve, but she will try her best to be better in later chapters. Whether that will be enough for you as a player will be up to you.

The art for the characters was made very early on in the game's development. I'm probably not going to include character portraits in the full game because I want players to imagine the characters their own way and a part of me wants to keep the game strictly text based 😅
I have no idea how many times I've replayed this. When I learnt of the newest chapter release, I was really excited!!!!! For some reason, all my saves were gone but that's ok, at least i could get a lil reminder of everything that's happened. I find it funny how every playthrough, I always find myself romancing Irus as a shy MC AKSJDJDH I SIMPLY CANT HELP MYSELF AHHH

First playthrough during [SPOILER] Salyra's surprise comeback, I chose the more betrayed and jealous route, but now I went with more lax approach and accepted bc I felt bad for my MC and thought they deserved to have a mom, but then the new chapter came out and oop- she hid more things that I could've imagined and my MC is just really put through the wringer here 💀💀

I'm surprised Salyra didn't put up much of a fight at the end of the chapter 7 into letting us go to the southern territory, makes me wonder if she has a plan....if she tries anything.....
She really makes me so angry despite me trying my best to stay calm and accepting damn, u wrote her really well! And other characters, as u can tell, Irus has my heart, tho maybe I should try another route hmm.....

One of my favourite dynamics is a shy MC and Irus, so I'm super happy you enjoyed it too.
Salyra is definitely a character that will make you feel a lot. She's certainly not perfect and will always make you feel some sort of upset after learning her secrets 😅 As for why she didn't protest much, her main goal in life is to stop the war and if the MC is going to help achieve that by leaving with the gang, she's not going to stop that.

One of my favorite IFs I've ever played. I love the amount of detail put in, especially with the potential responses and feelings when MC interacts with [SPOILER if you just started] mother. The suspense of some of the nightmares are well written too. I also appreciate the hair options :)

Not sure if it's been reported or even if it's a bug, but if you pick "...you do not worship any deity and you never will." you get the same result as "...you believe in the Ancient Ones, but your belief also extends to the worship of Solus."

One of my favourite interactive fiction <3 The ROs are so easy to like, the story is well crafted, the family drama and angst is so compelling and the romance is honestly so cute - the dynamics between Irus and shy!MC have me in a chokehold !!!
I love how you have the option to be resentful, petty and honestly even kind of "weak" at times but it's never portrayed as a bad thing, just as an MC who will rely on others and not be shamed for it - which is not something I see often in IF. I really appreciate how we're not always forced to forgive or even put up with some people
(looking at you Salyra)and we're not even forced to believe in the divines. It's such a breath of fresh air to have so much agency in what our MC can choose as their morals and beliefs without constantly being guilt tripped for our choices. And no doubt that takes extra work for the author but she does a wonderful job and it's really inspiring ~Can't wait for the rest of this story :^)

I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the relationships and family drama. I enjoy writing them a lot so it's nice to know that players are finding it just as enjoyable to read and play through.
An important thing for me in IF is player agency especially when it comes to moral beliefs, religious beliefs and the dynamics with parental figures because too often, I've been pushed into having happy family dynamics or being punished for being angry or reacting a specific way which doesn't follow my supposed personality stats 😅 the game doesn't track your personality, so you'll always be free to respond how you want to and you'll only be 'punished' for the choices you make that affects major plot points. I use punished here in a very informal way because you're not going to die or be blamed if things go wrong based on a decision you made.
I honestly think it's more work to write in personality stats and punishing players for taking certain choices 😂 The way I've done it, only certain choices will affect the overall plot but anything in-between is there for character development and player enjoyment.

(Also, I don't want to be rude but the AI art used to depict the characters kinda takes me out of the experience. It's just very generic, for lack of a better term. The actual descriptions of the characters feel fresh and alive, and yet the art depicting them doesn't represent this at all. I suppose that's one of the flaws of AI art. Oh well.)

As this is a very early draft of a wip, I'm not really focussed on using commissioned art for the character portraits as they cost money and the game is a labour of love - so it generates very little cash flow to necessitate commissioning an artist at this point. They're placeholders until I complete the final draft and edits.

I didn’t think I’d like this game at first, but wow. You absolutely changed my mind. I’m having an enjoyable time playing this (although I’m not finished yet, I just had to pause and comment). The storyline is solid and I feel like I could become real friends with the characters.
I did noticed some typos, however. I’ll go in greater detail about them if you’d like but I don’t want to make this comment too complicated. Overall, great game!!

If you do spot typos, you can report them through the bug form from the menu on the side bar. I'm not fixing typos at the moment but I will be fixing them during edits so feel free to report them and know that I'll get to them once the first draft is completed.
I chose to forgive my character's mother, but I really do appreciate that we're given a choice in the matter. That's very cool. Also I love the lore and atmosphere of this game, I'm shocked that you got it out as quickly as you did. You're not secretly a time-bending wizard are you? lol
I'm gonna do a second playthrough with higher spirituality with the Ancient Ones so I can see how that effects my divine powers. Probably. I would like to know if my Spirituality has consequences tied to it, please. My character is an atheist so I hope that doesn't ruin my chances of getting a good ending.

I'm no time bending wizard, but I do like writing a lot at once and I code as I write so it saves a lot of time when I get down to the chapters. It's worked so far for me so I'm in no rush to change my methods now.
You don't get punished for being a non-believer. The only thing you'll get locked out of is awakening the divine blessings, but you won't be locked out of good game ends. That said, I'm more of a narrative than stat-focussed person so stats are there but it's more your choices that matter rather than how high your stat is. You won't die in this game 😋
